Mackey whisky is a unique fusion of Irish heritage and Scottish craftsmanship. While triple distillation is a hallmark of Irish whiskey, our approach is distinctly Lowland, echoing the style of Auchentoshan rather than the traditional Irish method.

Born in a New Town backyard shed in 2007, Mackey whisky was crafted using unpeated barley and English ale yeast, before aging the spirit in port casks. This experimental spirit, first bottled in 2015, offers a lighter, smoother profile compared to its double-distilled counterparts.

The year 2021 brought forth the evolution of triple distilled and unpeated Mackey Shene Trinity and Enigma. Made with patience and crafted with care at Shene Estate. Made from 100% premium Tasmanian malt barley and pristine highland water. Handcrafted in traditional copper pot stills using time honoured methods, this release is rich, sweet and smooth.
